  • Cataract – a condition in which the lens of the eye becomes cloudy
  • Glaucoma – damage to the optic nerve which occurs when pressure and fluid build up in the eye
  • Hyperopia – a condition in which the vision of objects at a close distance is not optimal; also called farsightedness
  • Myopia – a condition in which the vision of objects at a distance is not optimal; also called nearsightedness
  • Presbyopia – a condition in which the eye's lens becomes rigid making it difficult for the patient to focus on objects which are near
